When Violet Fox entertained her church congregation, much of the talk was about how delicious her baked goods were. The group often marveled at the unique and special flavors the violet created in all of her treats. Little did the group know, Jerry Fox, who toiled hours and hours to provide his loving wife with the secret ingredients that made her desserts special. Beginning in 1933, Jerry would provide his wife with a new flavor weekly, as their guests eagerly awaited the latest from Violet’s kitchen. The guests finally insisted on knowing what her secrets were, and in 1935, Superior Flavors was born.
